About me
Hi! My name is Saba Zafar and I've been running my own photography business for six and a half years.
I've always had a passion for photography; it combines my love of nostalgia and preserving memories with my technical and artistic skills. Long before I had my first DSLR, I would "borrow" my mom's camera to shoot, even if I was just going to the park. The summer after high school is when I got my Canon 60D and began to shoot consistently. I brought my camera everywhere and took hundreds of photos at every party, hangout, day trip, even just sunny days outdoors... A few months later I began photographing events as a freelancer and my professional career took off.
I feel that it's necessary to share my story so my clients know how truly dedicated I am to my craft. I don't take any projects lightly. I spend hours upon hours editing and re-editing until I am truly satisfied with the quality of my work and give it my seal of approval. The devil is in the details, as they say.
I focus mainly on event and portrait photography. I've shot countless fundraisers, parties and wedding events and I have experience handling crowds of over 400 on my own. I'm also comfortable shooting more intimate affairs, such as bridal showers and birthdays. Photoshoots and portraits have become more of a focus of mine in the past few years and I love to work with experimental composition ideas. I'm always open to creative projects that stray from these categories. Personally, I love nature photography and shadow play.
I am a one-woman operation, which means that any questions, special requests or changes you need will come straight to me. While I aim to create work that is authentic and meaningful to me, the most important aspect of my photography is capturing my client's vision. I'm very flexible and open to client feedback. If you're not sure about booking yet, feel free to discuss your needs with me at any time through the 'Contact' tab above.
I will try to respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours.
